'Architecture is storytelling'
View Point
Architecture, for me, has always been this amazing gift as well as a responsibility, that offers the possibility to sculpt a more beautiful built environment. The prospect that I can be instrumental in creating a more considered surrounding, enriching someone's view of the urban fabric, is very exciting.
My experience in practice till date has encompassed working in The United Kingdom, The United States, Kenya and India. This has allowed me to draw on one-off design experiences from a variety of unique contexts, climates, vernacular materials, client requirements and site demands.
Design Ethos
Place making is at the heart of my architectural interests. I like to create materially complex proposals that are richly detailed and celebrate the unique stories of the context in which they are situated.
I find that beautiful and richly crafted architectural details are the first to catch my attention and a design consideration I find myself fascinated by. This interest is reflected on my design process as I approach each problem from the inside out, trusting my ability to work step by step through a variety of scales.
The strong narrative ambitions of my architecture is reflected through achieving both a RIBA Silver Medal Nomination and a RIBA Bronze Medal Nomination
About Me
I see myself as a people person, so my motivation comes from those I work with, enjoying both engaging in conversation and considering differing views. This extends into my spare time where I enjoy hobbies such as: volleyball, squash, art, gardening and hiking.
I have a deep wanderlust and luckily had the opportunity to travel and experience different cultures. I enjoy travelling as it allows me the opportunity to meander through our beautiful planet and unique built environments.
I am actively looking for the next steps into the professional world as a Part II architect
